Currency Coach Privacy Policy

Currency Coach is designed to work without an account, advertising profile, or Nauta-run user database.

Overview

Currency Coach helps travelers learn and practice exchange-rate shortcuts. The app stores your selected currencies, saved learned rates, cached exchange-rate data, display settings, and notification preferences on your device. Nauta does not sell your personal information and does not use the app to track you across apps or websites.

Information stored on your device

The app may store the following information locally on your device so the app can work offline and remember your preferences:

  • Selected base and learning currencies.
  • Locked exchange-rate shortcuts and learned-rate history.
  • Cached exchange-rate tables and timestamps.
  • Notification threshold and notification on/off setting.
  • Appearance preference, such as System, Light, or Dark.

This information is not stored in a Nauta account and is not sent to a Nauta server.

Live-rate and flag services

When the app fetches live exchange rates, it sends a network request to ExchangeRate-API's open access endpoint at open.er-api.com. That request includes the requested base currency in the URL and may also include ordinary network information such as your IP address and device connection metadata that is visible to the service provider.

Currency flag images may load from FlagCDN or Flagpedia-hosted image URLs. Loading those images may also expose ordinary network request information to the image host.

Nauta does not control those third-party services. Their handling of network request data is governed by their own policies and infrastructure practices.

Notifications

If you turn on drift alerts, Currency Coach asks iOS for notification permission. The app uses local notifications to alert you when a learned currency pair moves beyond your selected threshold. You can change notification permission in iOS Settings, and you can turn drift alerts off in Currency Coach.

No account, ads, or tracking

Currency Coach does not require sign-in, does not include advertising, and does not intentionally track users across apps or websites.

Your choices

You can reset learned rates and preferences inside the app where those controls are available. You can also delete the app from your device to remove locally stored app data. Because Currency Coach does not create a Nauta account, there is no server-side account record to delete.

Children

Currency Coach is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through a support request, contact us so we can address it.

Changes

Nauta may update this policy as Currency Coach changes. If the app's data practices change materially, this page and the App Store privacy information will be updated.
